Someone bid up the USDX price on AscendEX for 5 minutes, causing the USDX price to act up. Meanwhile, the on-chain price rosed to $6 for 17 minutes per the 720 TWAP. Therefore, it led to lots of liquidations happening. Eventually, everything returned to normal. All assets are safe, and none of the protocols was affected.

VOTE NOW: Proposal #111 to add the BNB Earn vault. Also, it will temporarily halt the DAI Earn incentives, pending a bug fix. Plus, it will fix the typo in the Kava Lend parameters for XRPB incentives.

Updates from the community feedback meeting today: Regarding the gas fees, the high fees, specifically for liquid staking, are only temporary till the bugs are addressed. The prioritized mempool will be introduced to the Kava app by the end of the year. In case anyone is curious about more assets coming to the Kava app besides stablecoins. The market conditions are so volatile that the team is concerned about potential liquidations for users if the market conditions worsen. Therefore, the focus on stablecoins remains the top priority for now. USDX de-pegged: it turned out there is still some bad debt left from the Terra collapse (I thought the debt was already taken care of), but it is likely why it's dragging down the price a bit. But most of the debt got taken care of. I am still waiting to receive a specific timeline for the bad debt getting erased or re-pegged. Scott is already briefed on this. Moving forward with governance proposal discussions, I will inform everyone in the community when the discussion forum is launched. You will have an opportunity to engage with the team in discussions. It is a small project I have been working on for a while. HARD and SWP: Scott almost tweeted a thread last Friday about changes to SWP and HARD tokens, but he decided to hold it back to update the statement and wording. But we are hoping he will tweet the thread soon. We will encourage him to post it as quickly as possible by the end of this week. Proposal #103: This proposal isn't taking 25 million tokens out of the community pool. Instead, the community pool supplies what it owns to the Earn protocol but retains all ownership of its KAVA. It has been in discussions for a while about the Liquid Staking APY. It has been mentioned that the target APY of vanilla and liquid staking combined would be in the ~25% to 30% range. If it gets dipped below the target range, additional rewards will be added to the incentives pool. Kava Foundation will not dilute the APR earned by stakers. Q: Do I need to un-delegate my staked KAVA to participate in Kava Earn? A: No. You can supply your delegated or un-delegated KAVA to the Kava Earn. Q: I noticed I only could supply a small amount of KAVA to Kava Earn. I have much more than that. Why is that? A: Did you un-delegate your KAVA before you attempted to supply KAVA to Kava Earn? If yes, they are stuck in the un-bonding period for 21 days until they become available in your wallet. Q: The reward APRs seem to be high. Is that normal? A: Yes, but it doesn't typically last that long. When the TVL starts at zero, users initially jump in by supplying their assets to earn rewards, but the APR will drop rapidly as the TVL grows. Q: I noticed my staked KAVA is gone on an explorer after I supplied them to the Kava Earn. Are they disappeared? A: No. Your KAVA is now supplied to the Kava Earn. The explorers will need to do some updates on their end. We will collaborate with them to get this fixed if required. Q: Are bKAVA transferable yet? A: No, not at the initial launch. However, bKAVA will be made available to transfer to different protocols shortly!

Hello, Kava Validators and everyone. A testnet user reported a bug that requires us to postpone the Kava-11 mainnet upgrade. We recommend voting NO on proposal 100. The engineering team has identified the root cause of the bug and will write additional tests to cover some edge cases we missed. We are targeting the Kava-11 upgrade for October 26th and will post a new governance proposal in the coming week. Suppliers who wish to provide liquidity to the pool can deposit and stake in the gauge with one click (the button is available for that) to receive rewards.

The team did initial testing by putting a small amount of rewards into the pool last night. When supplying USDX to HARD protocol, it does not currently count towards a user's collateralization ratio. Because liquidations seize all collateral supplied, this means that USDX will be liquidated in the event that a user's borrow position becomes undercollateralized. To avoid this, users who are borrowing should use safe limits to prevent liquidation or consider supplying USDX from a separate address until it is turned on as a collateral. We expect USDX to be turned on as a collateral via governance in the next few weeks.
